According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the employment outlook for those in the human resources field is bright for all occupations in the sector, with employment in some human services professions increasing “much faster than the average,” the highest rate that BLS cites. The increase is due to a combination of a growing elderly population and the need by some organizations to outsource services.

Morris Human Services graduates have enjoyed a high degree of success, landing employment in wide range of occupations both in and outside the human services field. The Morris Human Services degree has led to careers in:

  • Counseling
  • Social services
  • Human resources
  • Teaching

Students who wish to pursue further study or advanced professional programs will find higher-level opportunities in the field await them. In addition, the Human Services degree is good preparation for an academic career devoted to research and teaching.
