The Teacher Education Program at the University of Minnesota Morris is part of the life-long development of an effective teacher and includes the study of liberal arts disciplines, pedagogy, teaching, and other life experiences. The program is based on a belief that a successful teacher is one who reflects on teaching and makes instructional decisions that ensure student learning for all students in all places.

The Morris Teacher Education Program is accredited by the Minnesota Board of Teaching (BOT) and by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). This accreditation site is designed to provide detailed and ongoing information about our program and the assessment data that help us continue to reach the highest standards in the preparation of beginning teachers.
